New Speed Trailer Deployed

Speed Trailer

Due to an increase in speeding car complaints, and after discussion between Mayor Kartak and Chief Keith Rogers, a new speed trailer was purchased and put into action starting at Pine Avenue.

In addition to cautioning drivers of their speed and increasing safety, the speed trailer will track, analyze, and report data and information in order for Police to learn traffic flows and driving patterns.

Speed Limit Reduced on First Street

First Street Speed Limit

In an effort to improve pedestrian and vehicle safety, the speed limit on First Street has been reduced to 20 mph.

After hearing citizen concerns, and reaching out to businesses on First Street, Mayor Kartak ordered the reduced speed limit. Yesterday, the City Street Department installed the new speed limit signs.
