Trees to be Removed for Security Concerns

Trees to be removed at Army National Guard fence

Snohomish County Fire District 4 and the Washington Army National Guard will be collaborating on the removal evergreen trees located alongside the fence between their properties. These trees were planted very close to the fence and over the years have grown into the fence, causing a security concern for the Washington Army National Guard. The Guard plans to improve the military parking with gravel, paving, lighting, and a new fence to meet the force protection standards. The Guard has stated the area of the tree removal will be returned as a level and usable landscape area.
