Applicants are being sought to fill a vacancy on the City of Snohomish Park and Recreation Board.
Applications are due to the City Clerk by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at City Hall, 116 Union Avenue in Snohomish.
The Park and Recreation Board member term runs for three years. The Board advises the City Council regarding rules and regulations for the governance and management of all parks, and makes recommendations on policy and fiscal matters related to parks and recreation programs.
Desired qualifications for board members include an expertise in one or more of the fields of parks, sports, recreation programs and/or environmental preservation. Members must live within the City’s urban growth area. All City board and commission members are volunteers serving without compensation.
The vacancy was created by the decision of Board Member Noah Pylvainen to not seek reappointment for another term. The selected appointee’s three-year term will begin on January 16, 2019.
