Snohomish Veterans Memorial Unveiling

Monday, May 29, 2023

Please join the City of Snohomish, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 921, American Legion Post 96, and the Carnegie Foundation for the unveiling of the Veterans Memorial Obelisk on the grounds of the historic Snohomish Carnegie Building. The memorial was relocated in 2012 to the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery to protect it from any possible damage while the Carnegie underwent extensive restoration. With the help of many community partners and City leadership and staff, that project is complete, and we are bringing the obelisk home to its permanent location. We invite you to join us as we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to their country.
Program:
-Invocation
-Color Guard
-Welcome by Washington State Sen. John Lovick
-Guest Speakers Otis Wolfe (VFW Post 921), Chris Cote (American Legion Post 96), and Snohomish Mayor Linda Redmon
-Unveiling of Obelisk
-Three Round Volley and Taps
