Site Development Permit Issued for Walsh Hills Subdivision

Walsh Hills

Community members can expect to see construction activity at 1705-1711 Terrace Avenue with today’s issuance of a Site Development Permit for the Walsh Hills subdivision.

The project, which received preliminary plat approval in January, is for the construction of 111 single family detached houses.

The first activity will be the demolition of existing structures. After that, groundwork will begin, including the construction of detention vaults and retaining walls.  Work in the street will include connecting to water and sanitary sewer mains in the street immediately adjacent to the property.  Other street work will involve the installation of a storm sewer line extending to the south on Terrace Avenue connecting to existing facilities at 16th Street.  That work will necessitate the removal of the large tree at the intersection of Terrace and 16th that is in the right-of-way.  Removal of the tree will provide a side benefit of improving visibility at the intersection.

During the site development construction phase of this project if you have any questions or concerns to report contact either Senior Engineering Technician Koi Simpson at simpson@snohomishwa.gov or by calling 425-330-9055 or Senior Utilities Engineer Andy Sics at sics@snohomshwa.gov or by calling 360-282-3174.
