Over 20 artists, galleries, and studios will break out the paint, musical instruments, a Ukrainian headdress, and even a few sauce pans for the 2022 Art Walk. This year’s event features interactive murals, a graffiti throw down, hand-crafted desserts, live music, and a Youth Gallery.

“It’s thrilling to see art come to life in Snohomish, especially with our City’s youngest artists,” said City Councilmember Judith Kuleta. “The 2022 Art Walk promises to be one of the most diverse artistic events we’ve ever hosted in the City.”

In partnership with the Snohomish Farmer’s Market, Art Walk visitors will be able to find artists set up around Historic Downtown. Maps of participating “art spots” can be found at City Hall (116 Union Ave), the Carnegie Building (105 Cedar Ave), Farmer’s Market, and at participating businesses.

The Youth Art Gallery at the Carnegie Building will be managed by Snohomish High '22 graduate and Scholastic American Visions Gold Key Award Winner Anna Lomanchenko and feature works from local students. Items from Lomanchenko's portfolio, including her award-winning Ukranian vinok which was featured on the cover of the Snohomish Quarterly, will also be on display. Heather Sommer, a Snohomish resident and nationally-recognized artist who has been commissioned to create icons in Orthodox churches around the US, including St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Church (Los Angeles, CA), will work on a mural at the corner of Union and Glen Aves.  Local artist Gloryanne “Baby G” Carswell, manager of Rosella Gallery, will host graffiti artists from LA for a graffiti "throw down" at City Hall. Chef Joel Childs will create hand-crafted desserts using a blend of modern and classical techniques with seasonal and locally sourced foods.
