Sewer System

The City Sewer Department manages both a treatment facility and the collection of sewage. The City is responsible for maintenance of both the sewer and surface water systems including keeping the sewer pipes, storm drains, and sewer and storm structures clean.

There are 32 miles of sewer pipe, 10 miles of surface water conveyance, and 14 sewer lift stations collectively in the storm and sewer systems. City crews annually clean 252 catch basins and maintain all of the city’s stormwater ditches.
