Pilchuck Park Bank Stabilization

Project overview

The Pilchuck Park Bank Stabilization project will stabilize and install protection for a portion of the Pilchuck River bank that has eroded over time, causing a portion adjacent to the City's Pilchuck park to slough. Phase 1 work consisted of re-aligning the access road into the park away from the bank for public safety and to prevent further deterioration. The segment of bank to be restored extends from the Second Street bridge south 220 feet. Restoration work includes installation of root-wad logs, boulder ballast, grading fill, and native plantings to restore riparian functions and prevent further loss of riverbank habitat.

What to expect

Pilchuck Park will be closed for approximately one (1) month during the fish window to allow for contractor staging and clear work area.
