Don’t Forget Midtown Open Houses

Reminder

Next week is your chance to provide your feedback to the Midtown Planning District Task Force regarding new policies and regulations being discussed to guide the future development of the Avenue D commercial corridor.

Instead of having an in-person town hall style open house, which is not possible given the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, a 3-prong approach is being offered which we hope will be as effective as the traditional open house.

Toxic Bloom of Blue-Green Algae

Blue-Green Algae

Blackmans Lake is still experiencing a blue-green algae bloom with scum accumulating along the shoreline. The algae scum looks like green paint floating on the surface of the water.

The State sampling program for toxins has closed for the winter so no samples will be taken.

Please assume that toxins are present where there is scum in the absence of testing..
