Public Works crews regularly use our street sweeper to ensure our roads are clear of leaves and other debris. These contribute to contaminated stormwater runoff, impacting our creeks, streams, rivers, and lakes, in addition to urban flooding.. City staff will sweep a different route each week. The sweeping schedule may be adjusted in case of heavy rain, strong winds, snow, crew availability, and other unforeseeable events.

As the fall weather approaches and the leaves start impacting the storm system, , crews will increase sweeping to two days a week, to allow staff to focus on areas with higher volumes of leaves.
You can help make street sweeping more efficient by taking the following actions:
- Dispose of leaves in a yard waste container or compost.
- Do not blow leaves onto the street. This causes storm drain backups, flooding, and limits sweeper efficiency
- On the day of your scheduled route, move cars away from the curb if possible
Route maps are available through our interactive website, or as a printable pdf.
