Following is an assessment of the damage from last night's snowstorm in the City of Snohomish:
- First Street is closed between Avenue D and Union Ave due to several downed trees and power lines. Snohomish PUD has been contacted.
- City phone lines are down. City Hall will be open until 4 p.m. today for in-person service. To contact City staff, please use their e-mail address which can be found here: https://www.snohomishwa.gov/Directory.aspx
- Snohomish PUD is reporting around 500 outages across the City. Refer to their outage map for further information: https://outagemap.snopud.com/
- To find out when a City street might be plowed, please refer to the City's priority snowplow map: https://www.snohomishwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/7390/City-of-Snohomish-Snowplow-Routes?bidId=
- The following streets or hills are closed because they are too steep to be safely plowed:
- Union Ave between 2nd and 3rd Streets
- 5th Street between Avenues A and B, Cedar and Maple
- 10th Street between Cleveland and Maple Aves
Property owners are responsible for clearing the walkways, driveways, and sidewalks. The National Weather Service is forecasting for temperatures to drop into the 20's overnight and the snow will be difficult to remove once it freezes.
