City of Snohomish 2025-25 Biennial Budget
Mayor Linda Redmon will present her proposed 2025-2026 budget to the City Council on October 15, 2024. Based on an overarching theme of “Honoring Our Past By Investing in Our Future,” the budget is focused on investments in long-deferred maintenance of the City’s infrastructure, public safety, emergency preparedness, and modernization of City’s services.
Mayor Redmon's administration has incorporated the policy direction of City Council, as well as extensive community outreach conducted over the last two years, into a number of key plans and goals that are reflected in the preliminary biennial budget being presented. These policy decisions and guiding public input have helped inform the work that is ahead. The 2025-2026 budget that Mayor Redmon proposes will begin to put those plans into action. The first of two budget presentations will be given on October 15, 2024 with the remainder presented on October 22, 2024.
Thanks to support from Council, the City invested in a new budgeting tool called ClearGov. While there has been a significant amount of work put into the implementation of the tool, ClearGov has streamlined the City's budgeting process. The full budget will launch with a new link on this page at the beginning of the meeting. This new tool will also allow Council and the community the ability to filter data and graphics in a variety of ways. Once the biennial budget is adopted, the tool will also provide budget-to-actual tracking that is available as soon as each quarter's accounting is completed.

Council is anticipated to take action to adopt a final 2025- 2026 budget on November 19, 2024.
