Public Safety & City Services Campus
Join us for a community celebration in the Pilchuck District to learn more about the Public Safety & City Services Campus on Friday, September 27, 4-7 PM at Averill Field (400 Second Street). Mayor Redmon, Police Chief Alanis, and Fire Chief Waller will be available to discuss the campus. Enjoy food, games, and more with us, your new neighbors at this free event!
The City of Snohomish and Snohomish Police Department are seeking community input for the public space on the civic campus side of the property. Staff and the architects designing the facilities and site plans attended National Night Out and the Snohomish Farmers Market for outreach. Feedback from neighbors and the community include adding parking, trails, a fountain, a place for public gatherings/events and/or a park.
Plans for the Snohomish Fire District #4 facility on the site have been finalized and construction is schedule to begin soon.
- Why does the City need a new campus?
- How much will the Campus cost to build, and how will it be paid for?
- Where did the City come up with the estimates of how much it would be to move Public Works or renovate existing buildings?
- Didn’t the City spend money to renovate City Hall recently?
- Is this plan going to raise my taxes?
- Why does the City need to move from the Public Works yard?
- What are the benefits of a shared campus?

I am excited at the prospect of bringing all of our agencies together because we are all focused on the mission of serving the Snohomish community. Sharing a campus will use taxpayer funds more effectively as we plan for the future of Snohomish, maintain the levels of service our community expects, and respond more cohesively in the event of an emergency.-Snohomish Mayor Linda Redmon
The Fire District is in dire need of new facilities, not only to provide the current level of service, but to plan for the future and to provide for firefighter safety. Moving in this direction allows us to centralize our services within the District, while partnering with the City to make it more cost effective for taxpayers.-Snohomish Fire District 4 Chief Don Waller
The City of Snohomish and Fire District No. 4 have had a long-standing partnership. This venture continues that with an opportunity to collaborate between fire, police, and City services in a way that benefits the people and businesses of Snohomish.-Heather Thomas, Snohomish City Administrator
